The Board of Optometry Association (BOA) is pleased to announce that our Chairperson has been appointed to the African Council of Optometry (AFCO) Board. This appointment reflects the aligned goals and collaborative spirit between BOA and AFCO in advancing the optometry profession across Africa.
Welcoming the New AFCO Directors
We take this opportunity to welcome the new directors leading AFCO’s various branches:
- Director of Education & Competency Level Framework: Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Kabir, Ghana
- Director of Optometry Professional Regulatory Body: Prof. Percy K. Mashige, South Africa
- Director of Projects and Fundraising: Optom Thanuja Panicker, Botswana
- Director of Research and Advocacy: Dr. Levi Uche Osuagwu, Nigeria
