The Botswana Optometrist Association is very appreciative to the Lions Club for recognizing the efforts of our own – Optom Thanuja Panicker-Naicker towards her contribution to the Optometry community in Botswana.
As District Chairperson for Sight( Gaborone Greater Lions Club) received the following at the hands of
District Governor ( District 412 A – Botswana & Zimbabwe) Lion Meera Chandra, in a Special meeting held yesterday at DG Lion Meera and DC Lion Rajeeva Chandra – Mokolodi Resort Residence in the presence of Lion dignitaries like Council Chairperson PDG Lion Anil Patil and PDG Lion Tshi Serema and DC Lion Keratilwe Bodilenyane.
- 2022 – Melvin Jones Lion of the year trophy
- 2021-22- Trophy for best health project ( Eyecare) – Sponsored by Naickers ( Phakalane Lions Club)
- 2021- 22 Award in recognition of exceptional accomplishment and leadership of DG Ln Meera Chandra
- 2020- 21 Special recognition award for invaluable contribution of PDG Lion Catherine Marapira .
- Already collected PDG Lion Tshidi Serema Award during the Regional Conference in April 2022.
DC Lion Rajeeva also a recipient of trophy from Council Chairperson PDG Lion Anil Patel.
