DESCRIPTION:GUEST SPEAKER SPEECH BY BOA CHAIRPERSON Optom Thanuja Panicker-Naicker \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAppreciate and acknowledge the appreciation Optom.Dr.Gopi and Optom.Dr Anu. \n\n\n\nThrough the Director of ceremonies -Optoms Prem and Abhi\, \n\n\n\nThank you Optom.Dr Anuradha Narayanan\,the President\, for the invite and Optom Dr.Rashima Ashokan\,the Vice- President for the lovely introduction.I must say both are great presenters \,one specialised on School Eye Health and the other on Occupational Optometry. \n\n\n\nIt is both a nostalgia and an honor to be a part of I- Sight \,the national Optometry quiz organised by the Alumni Association of Elite School of Optometry\, sponsored by Hoya\,rooted in the mission of spreading quality Optometry\, aligned with World Optometry Day. \n\n\n\nAs the curtains draw on\,yet another edition of I- Sight Optometry quiz\,we reflect on the journey we have undertaken together. \n\n\n\nFrom the outset \,our mission was clear to spread the light of knowledge and foster bonds within the Optometry student community\,guided by the vision we embarked \,that brought aspiring Optoms from every corner of our Indian nation. \n\n\n\nThe vibrant quizzing culture that has enriched our lives and shaped our collective intellect.A quiz \,often known as a mind sport\,aside from the obvious academic benefits; quizzies radically change how education is delivered. \n\n\n\nThese interactive avenues open floor of possibilities to success beyond curriculum\,demands critical thought and in- depth study\,builds up collaborative skill and rational thinking. \n\n\n\nEducation is not all about learning fact\,but training the mind to think. \n\n\n\nLet us take a moment to acknowledge the towering legacy of India’s quiz programs from the timeless charm of the Bournvita quiz contest to the intellectual rigor of the Mastermind India and the unforgettable ground breaking KBC – these shows have not only democratized quizzing but also ignited a passion for knowledge. \n\n\n\nWe further observe the spirit of curiosity\,exploration and friendly competition that has defined our journey at I- Sight Quiz. \n\n\n\nCheers! \n\n\n\nAs winners emerge amidst the fierce competition\,we are not obligated to win.We are obligated to keep trying to the best we can do! \n\n\n\nCelebrating a\, quiz victory is about more than just a recognition of one’ s intellectual achievement  it’s about recognizing one’ s hardwork dedication and passion for knowledge that led to this moment. \n\n\n\nCompetition is easier to accept if we realise it is not an act of oppression or abrasion.You worked your best with your friends in competition.  \n\n\n\nYou have made ripples and waves. \n\n\n\nI must add\,we grow through what we go through! \n\n\n\nSometimes the battle we lose shape us more than the battle we win. \n\n\n\nWe have tested our knowledge\,ignited our passion and forged listing connections that transcend boundaries and Institutions. \n\n\n\nLet us carry forward the lessons learned and memories cherished! \n\n\n\nWe appreciate everyone- the participants\,the organisers Elite School Alumnus and the sponsor Hoya\,for their unwavering commitment to the spirit of I- Sight Quiz. \n\n\n\nLet us continue to embrace the pursuit of knowledge with zeal\,and enthusiasim\, knowing that the quest is endless. \n\n\n\nMohammed Ali\,formerly Cassius Clay\,was as skilled in words as he was in the ring. \n\n\n\nImpossible is not a fact! \n\n\n\nImpossible is not an opinion! \n\n\n\nImpossible is temporary! \n\n\n\nImpossible is Nothing! \n\n\n\nIt is not all about winning\,but participation. \n\n\n\nMay you continue shining brightly in your pursuit of excellence and may the bonds strengthened here serve as a treasure of inspiration for generations to come! \n\n\n\nReferences Courtesy- Optom Mohan Sundaram\,Eso Alumnus.
